Mysteries Of The Myth Presents : SUB – READING

brain-reading

Did you know that an average educated human adult can read up to 100,000  words subconsciously every day? That’s right! As much as the majority of us in this part of the world hate to read, it is something we cannot escape from because it is right there in us. I used the word ‘subconsciously’ because we don’t intend reading those words, but after we have, we realize that we just did. We read much more than we even eat, sleep or talk. Isn’t it amazing that we hate doing the things we do most? We read headlines, adverts, and brand names from cups, bags, TV, internet, pictures, wall clocks and whatever.

HOW IT WORKS

We read constantly and can read a word severally (especially when we are just seated or carrying out an activity that involves retaining a particular position. The eye is believed to be the most valuable part of the human senses, it helps the nose find the location of the scenting meal and helps the ears find the location of the loud bang. As little as it is, has a vast viewing sphere and can see everything happening within a wide range around it even without paying attention. With every figure sighted by the eye, information is immediately picked by the brain which in turn processes and analyses it and finally sends the analysis to the mind. When we subconsciously read, the mind is vexed following a chain of event.

THE CHAIN OF EVENTS

  • We subconsciously read.
  • …It rings in our memory.
  • There comes a constant repetition of the word or sentence, be it a song lyrics, a poem or a mathematical equation….in our mind
  • We consciously read something similar or same with what we earlier read subconsciously.
  • ….and BOOM!!, we exclaim, “I have seen this somewhere”.

As stated earlier, the brain sends the analysed info to the mind. Remember that the word got into you subconsciously, so the mind filters it and stores it till the required time when it will be needed and as such, when a similar info is sent to the mind via the brain, the mind immediately notifies the brain that its got something similar. That is, the point you get the BOOM. You do not remember where you’ve seen it, but you know you have, SOMEWHERE…and maybe SOMETIME AGO

THE PHILOSOPHY

You get the BOOM, but do not recall the time or object from which you got the info because it got to you subconsciously. It is impossible to get an info unconsciously, but if you had consciously gotten that info, you get a BOOM, and still remember where you had seen it earlier. See? It works like magic!!!. The truth is that it happens to everyone at one time or the other provided we are aware of our existence in this world…..in other words, only newborns who haven’t started gaining consciousness over their environment would be innocent of this.

As we are delivered into the world and gradually grow into toddlers and infants, we start observing words around us frequently. We might be unable to read at that moment, but gradually we develop the natural and unconditional ‘habit’ which is non-avoidable and cannot be compromised. Reading is fun though as it not only sharpens the mind up but strengthens an individual’s diction in spoken and written English and languages in general……But for Subconscious reading, it is just amazing and interesting…..It is a mystery, a mystery of the myth.

A New Year…..A New Beginning!!

HD-Wallpapers-of-2013-Happy-New-Year

Finally, as you slowly but surely stroll deep into the first days of the new year, you have managed to escape the assumed doom-like faith that followed it. The fears, worries, troubles, panic, curiosity and nervousness have all passed away with the year…..or so you think…..Well everyone is used to making a New Year resolution and in fact, some people have devised a formula for that because they are aware that it doesn’t always turn out as easy to carry out as anticipated. You drive yourself to the New Year sometimes drunk…other times u might be listening to the classics of the 90’s or maybe praying or wishing you could see a shooting star to confess your wishes. But whatever you do at 12midnight on a Jan1st might just be what powers you through the rest of the year.

The truth is that even as the joy of adding +1 to the last of the four digit year (one math you are readily eager and excited to solve) lingers, deep within you, the curiosity and anxiety multiplies. Curiosity of ‘not exactly knowing what the year holds for you’ and Anxiety of ‘eagerness to see what it holds afterall’. To some, fear and worry becomes the order of the day especially in cases of aging persons who are still in a state of financial mess….there are more causes though. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves! You and I know that the New Year has nothing to do with the lousy bangs of the evening bangers nor the replacing of the calendars on the wall. Of course, entering a new year has its business only with you and when I say with you, I mean with you physically, mentally, economically, academically, financially, socially, psychologically and spiritually. Some people think the presence of these so called worry, fear and anxiety is a good thing as it prepares them well ahead for what is to come. These negative emotions are most of the time present only as a result of failures from the past year or years…they restrict those utmost forces that intended stirring you to the top which in turn restricts your thinking ability and then lets you settle for the diminutives.

Let’s look at it this way. The New Year is a new beginning; it is the first year of the rest of your life. Do not cross over with all the unnecessary downs just as you won’t use the same syringe on another patient. Every New Year brings about new opportunities and upgrade existing ones (the ones you took the previous year). It’s like this. A new shirt will obviously come with new buttons, new zip and new pockets right? And guess what! They will all be worn by one person. And if you mishandle the shirt or treat it unwisely, it tears thereby making other features useless. Just like the shirt, the New Year has its own features in goodies. Wear your new year virtuously without forgetting how much your spiritual life matters and watch as the new year treats you like  a Royal body that you are…..it’s reciprocal…so live it wisely (don’t mind the Mayan calendar)……..FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

SEPTEMBER 5TH 2011…….a day of “the day”

a

Life………as harmless as it could be, can also prove to be the most harmful , …as quiet as it could be, makes the loudest noise,….as playful as it could be, presents itself harshly…..as caring as it could be, even the toughest ones cry. But then these two sides of life (which after all coincides with the fact that “every advantage has a disadvantage”) don’t decide our fate, no, they come to us only as a result of the choices we’ve made at different points in our lives.  “Life is either a darling adventure or nothing”—->> Helen Keller. As such, you and should be wise enough.

While the morning squirrels were making a fool of nature’s quietness, I woke up, still struggling with a nodule I picked a day before…. Today was not like every other day, it was different; as though I finally woke up to reality and had been dreaming all these years. Unconsciously, I gazed at the ceiling, lost in the world of thoughts, the “every guys” thought that usually finds its way into my head, knew it had lost it this time. I was 20 years of age, exactly 7months and 2 days after my birthday and in the final stage of attaining my Bachelors degree in Architecture. I was going to become a “someone”, but telling you I was prepared for it would be falsity and would tag me a shady person.

Back in the days, owing to human spontaneous level of changes in life, I was growing with the belief of always having to be spoon-fed daily, never getting bothered about the laundry, always had to think that those furniture located itself one way or the other into the house, waking right before dawn was not a thing I was bothered about even if sometimes, I had to, on days when I was bent on seeing my favourite TV cartoon programmes. Tomorrow certainly wouldn’t be an issue; reasons being that I always awoke to a stress less new day. Well, to me, I didn’t know how I came into being, but all I knew was that life was awesome with those giants (my parents and elder siblings) around me, created to serve me stupendously. I coalesced with the saying that “life is a bed of roses”……of course I liked roses. But then at this first stage of life, one would desire a chronic stay as a baby.

As we grow older, tougher responsibilities befall us, but as much as we desire to remain at that first stage, we must move with life. “Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived, to be understood”—->> Ralph Waldo Emerson.  As we advance in life, we realise that things only get more tasking, as more and more responsibilities befall us. No one grows in age alone but physical, mental, psychological, moral, social, and sometimes even spiritual growth comes with it which we have be wise about. “No wise man ever wished to be younger—->> “Jonathan Swift”. Moreover, I realised that there were things I was left to do myself without even realising I did them, or if I didn’t do them before. I had to return from school on my own, some little house chores were assigned to me, I was left to care for my laundry, I had to get used to sleeping at nights without having to wrap up the blooming night with old fashioned fairytales, impromptu exercises became the order of the weekend… Forcefully I must confess, I got spanked when it was called for…even watching TV had its own restrictions. Generally, life became necessarily but highly demanding. “Life is like an onion, you peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes, you weep”. —->> Carl Sandburg. (Writer and Editor). But even at this, there were still many things I still didn’t have to worry about. Naturally, we face increased responsibilities, with a branded instinct of knowing they will always come. These take effects in the first and second stages of life, but at the third stage, OUR FEARS ARE FINALLY REALISED.

Still gazing at the ceiling, I thought to myself …life has not been so fair to me after all,  it presented  itself to me with an intense non caring attitude, it was as though it kept me on hold so as to deal with others first. Things weren’t just working out as much as I wanted them to, I thought people didn’t really care about me anymore, to me; every form of love had disappeared. I was left by myself, the world was crumbling around me, I needed to be spoon-fed as usual, I needed not to bother about financial issues nor thereabout, I craved once again to be treated as the special one, but as I thought deeper into these things, I realised I was wrong again…….”In as much as one enjoys looking up to others as role models, it gives even the greatest joy to be looked upon as a role model”. —->> Merixwrites. It was time to face reality, to leave old concepts behind and recreate new ones, it was time to start being the statue of recognition, it was time to know where the journey had all started from and where it was going to end, it was time to look straight up into my future, and know where I am heading, it was time to mould my destiny to my desired shape, it was time to get up and run, it was time to bring out the true face of the already known Chibz. It was time to be more of “ME” than “me”. The fact is that, at this particular stage of life, elders or mentors don’t abandon you, neither do they leave you because they feel you’ve been loved enough, or you don’t worth it anymore. No, they know what you are capable of doing, they have an idea of how much you can achieve, they see greatness in you, and as such, they let you be, because that’s the only way you can ever realise your worth. That’s the only way you can start having something in store for yourself. I realised that, I could only be by myself convincingly because I have total idea and the clearest picture of what I actually want, and so, looking up to people at that stage will only be but a menace to life on my part. “You are the best artist of your imagination”—->> Merixwrites. Its not wrong building castles in the air, but then, you only become arrantly unfair to yourself when you don’t get your butt up and put a foundation below it.

I finally have come to terms with the fact that the whole of life, is but a moment of time, it is our duty therefore to use it, not to misuse it. It’s like a game of cards; the hand that is dealt u represents determinism, the way you play it is free will. Live life to the fullest by always trying something new, you never tell what works out well, always do more, the things you are afraid to do the most, they bring the most joy. Life truly is a bed of roses … with thorns in-between. Always anticipate as Ernest Hemingway, a writer and journalist would say that…

“The real reason for not committing suicide is because you always know how swell life gets again when the hell is over”. I owe thanks to special friends and relatives (Names withheld, citation needed) who have been a vehicle, constantly driving me to the world of possibilities through their in-depth knowledge of success, diligence in sort after matters, optimistic way of life, and of most spiritual well being. I can’t help but reminisce everywhere I go, especially when I’ve got something to laugh over or cry about. After all, I still thank the Almighty God for his Love Protection, Favours, grace and Mercies upon my life. Everything has been possible only as a result of his eternal existence, for without him, there will be no life to start with, let alone living it. He is GREAT. This day was a day that brought me to the light of ‘living’, a day that gave me a true definition of life, a day that distinguished reality from mere fantasies. This day changed my life forever, it is my day, and it’s a day of “the day”. It’s SEPTEMBER 5TH 2011
